This session will focus on key components of fraud prevention and detection, particularly pertaining to know-your-customer issues. Prevention topics will include internal investigation tools, training, due diligence, and common fraud schemes. Detection topics will include essentials of fraud, warning systems, borrower behavior issues, and financial statement fraud. The session will conclude with a case study depicting a real estate flipping scheme.
